HANDMADE AND SCREEN PRINTED INVITATION

“We don’t want a normal wedding invitation, we want to incorporate my grandfather’s painting of Rocky Mountain National Park and we want it to be a gift that people will want to keep.” Those were the directives and challenges I faced in coming up with a one-of-a-kind wedding invitation. I took the painting and illustrated it to resemble the iconic National Park posters which became the core of the invitation. All of the components were screen printed in three colors and hand-assembled to create a poster, hangtag, invitation and rsvp. All of the invitation components were rolled up inside the poster, wrapped with decorative paper, tied with a ribbon that had the teaser hangtag and then mailed in a rigid mailing tube with a custom mailing label to protect it during delivery. The invitation was a hit for the bride and groom’s friends and family and I’m pretty sure they liked it too.
