A DAILY DROP CAP ART PROJECT IN FEBRUARY

Inspired by Jake Parker’s Inktober, I decided to create my own daily art challenge of hand-lettering a drop cap a day in February, completing the alphabet by the end of the month. A simple project that is a lot of fun to come up with a theme and dive into every year.

In 2020 my only constraint was each letter had to be rendered in only three colors.

– 2019 –

2019 was the year I started the Capruary daily art challenge for myself and did drop caps inspired by the characters and settings of my comic book, Prey, a fantasy story about animals with swords and what happens when the prey starts to fight back. I ended up turning the illustrations into an alphabet book.
